The full backdrop. A larger balloon wall, often on a frame, sometimes combined with a name in marquee letters or a mesh panel. This is the dedicated photo station approach.
Balloon columns flanking the entrance. Useful when the venue does not allow anything attached to walls, which is common in rented halls and restaurant back rooms. Columns are freestanding and need no attachment at all.

Gender reveal considerations
If the shower is doubling as a reveal, the décor plan needs a specific structure: everything visible before the reveal has to be neutral, and the reveal element itself carries the color.
That usually means a neutral garland or backdrop as the base, with the reveal handled separately. Plan the sequence in advance, including who knows, who is holding what, and where people will be standing, because a reveal that happens with half the guests facing the wrong direction is a reveal nobody photographed.
Venue questions worth asking early
